Day 1: Arrival in Fez

Transfer from the airport to your hotel in Fez and overnight at the Riad.

Day 2: Fez – Guided tour of the whole city and the Medina of Fez

After breakfast we spend the whole day on a tour of Fez. We will tour the religious capital of Morocco with its typical handicrafts. Fez was founded by Idris 1 in the 12th century and was for years the cultural capital and focus of the Almohads. It is one of the imperial cities with more interest in history and crafts and one of the largest medinas in the Arab world. Madrasas, the souk (spectacular for the quantity and variety of spices), Karauin, the oldest university in the world, mosques, squares, neighborhood Andalusian and potters, palaces and museums. Fez is the craft capital of Morocco, after dinner we will spend the night at the Riad.

Day 3: Fez – Merzouga

After breakfast, departure to the Middle Atlas Mountains. We stop in the charming town of Ifrane, also called the “Switzerland of Morocco”. We cross the great cedar forests. Further south, we pass the High Atlas Mountains, we arrive in Errachidia, where the first large palm trip appears. These create an oasis of vegetation ideal for growing all kinds of fruit trees and vegetables for its microclimate. We arrive in Erfoud, economic capital of the Tafilalet region. In this area there are many fossils that testify to the past when these areas were covered by the sea. From here the asphalt disappears, we advance through the Sahara until we reach the village of Merzouga. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga

Today we explore Erg Chebbi more deeply. We visit the village of Khamlia, discover small villages and houses inhabited in unexpected places, far from civilization. We also visit nomads who are there and we will take you with them at night and leave the camel ride to spend the night in the desert under the sky. We will spend the night in nomad tents in the desert.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, departure to Risani, old Sijilmassa, supply center of the ancient caravans of the Sahara. We continue our journey through a semi-desert landscape, we reach the oasis of Tinghir – possibly one of the most beautiful places in Morocco. Then we pass the Todra River, impressive gorges to reach more than 300 m. We visit the village, we take the road of a thousand kasbahs to Ouarzazate, to reach one of the most important cities of southern Morocco, known for its intense activity and cinematographic, having its most prominent films such as Gladiator, Troy, the Mummy etc.. Visit the Kasbah of Taurirt. We will enjoy dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech – Telouet

After breakfast, we take the road towards Ait Ben Haddou, the queen of kasbahs (World Heritage of Unesco). Later we will visit one of the most beautiful tracks of Morocco, Kasbah of Telouet, former Glagui palace, Pacha Marrakech. We continue passing through the highest mountain pass of Morocco – Tzin Tichca (2,260 m) to reach the imperial city of Marrakech. We stay one night at the Riad.

Day 7: Marrakech

After breakfast we spend full day excursion to visit Marrakech. The stories tell that the city was inhabited by a tribe on the other side of the Atlas, with large quantities of dates, and bones, born of a palm. Called “the red city” because of the color of its walls and full of gardens, watered by subway wells (khettaras), which were built by the Almoravids and Saharan nomads in the eleventh century We will visit Menara, the Casbah, the Saadi Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia, the Majorelle gardens and souks, are some of the unmissable visits. A unique experience will be to discover the “Djemaa El Fna” square, where the life and activity of the city is concentrated: dancers, storytellers, jugglers, craftsmen, merchants and snake charmers. We stay in Marrakech overnight in local Riad.

Day 8: Marrakech – Airport

Free time until we transfer to the airport before your departure flight and this will be end of our services.
