Camel Trekking Merzouga Desert

In the sand desert of Erg Chebbi, a short distance from the village of Merzouga and about 35 kilometers south-east of the city of Rissani, are the largest and most spectacular dunes in Morocco. These golden sand dunes, which can reach 50 meters in height, form an almost perfect straight line running north to south through the village of Merzouga, marking the western boundary of the Sahara Desert and acting as a border between Morocco and Algeria.

You will have the opportunity to explore the stunning desert landscape and even, if you feel up to it, climb the dunes to enjoy the sunrise or sunset light drawing different shadows and colors on the sand.In the quiet of the night, you can hear the sounds of tribal drumming.

Camel trekking is undoubtedly a unique and unmissable experience that will show you the way of life of the nomadic Berbers of the Sahara.
